About Us:

First of its kind and rooted in community, Diaspora In Bloom is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization dedicated to spotlighting contemporary Assyrian art.

Honoring the ancient while elevating the modern, we create professional spaces for Assyrian artists to share their lived experience and creative vision with the world. Through exhibitions, programming, and cultural events that bring together varied artistic media and perspectives, we explore the multifaceted Assyrian experience – one that both celebrates and challenges tradition. 

Vision:

We believe in the power of art to bridge understanding across communities. Drawing from the Assyrian idiom “Spring does not occur with one flower alone,” we know that movements require many voices blooming together. We showcase work that explores universal themes of identity, cultural continuity, and belonging; offering unique opportunities to experience the art of a nation that has been scattered around the globe, and has still found a way to blossom into a movement. By facilitating the progression of Assyrian art and culture, we demonstrate how diaspora communities continue to flourish and evolve.
